Momentos de La Vida - Book launch

 - 11 Chatham Counterguard

1800-2100 hours

This year my father Ralph Torrilla would have been 100 years old and this is why I have collected all his writings and poems and made a compilation of all of his works into a book called “Momentos de la Vida” so that it is there for posterity.  He has many poems dedicated to our culture, our heritage and the Evacuees, as well as a host of love poems and many others regarding other aspects of life.

“Momentos de la Vida” will be launched on Wednesday 3rd December at My Wines in Chatham Counterguard in an “Open Day” event that starts from 6pm to 9.30 pm.  So you can visit at your leisure during that time and listen to spontaneous recitals during the evening, as well as wine tasting, and you are welcome to enjoy this poetic cultural event and purchase one of the books.

The book will be sold at £9 with part proceeds donated to the Bosom Buddies Cancer trust.  All previous books written by my father and myself have been in aid of local Cancer Charities as we believe that charity begins at home and it is also in memory of  my mother who died from this terrible disease.

The book has been published with the support of theMinistry of Sport, Culture , Heritage & Youth, and the cover has been beautifully designed by our very own talented artist Jane Langdon who has painted a rose within the design in memory of my mother Rose.

After the 3rd December the book will be on sale at WH Smith at Casemates and other local bookshops as it can be a lovely Christmas gift for poetry lovers.
